A funeral service for Beverly Schroeder, 88, of Ormond by the Sea, Florida, who passed away peacefully in her home on June 26, 2016, will be held on Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at Grace Lutheran Church, 338 Ocean Shore Blvd, Ormond Beach, FL 32176, at 3:00pm with Pastor Dennis Koch officiating. Friends wishing to call and pay their respects may do so beginning at 2:00pm until the start of the service. Interment will follow at Grace Lutheran Cemetery. Formerly of Gillett, WI, she was born on November 18, 1927. Beverly was the wife of the late Dr. Edmund Schroeder. They worked together in his successful optometry practice for 27 years before retiring to Ormond Beach. Bev loved to be outside, chatting with her friends and neighbors, doing yard work, horses, fishing, and the beach. Beverly was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ed, to whom she was married for 49 years; her parents, Percy and Lillian (Wilson) Hudson; her sisters, Sharon Hudson, Jean Lawniczak, and Fern Gerndt; and her favorite little dog, Beth.
