Obituary for Kathleen Cuva

A memorial celebration for Kathleen Hamilton Cuva, 56 of Ormond Beach,who passed away September 3, 2016, will be celebrated Thursday at 11:00 am at Prince of Peace Catholic Church 600 S. Nova Rd. Ormond Beach with Rev. Father Bill Zamborsky as celebrant.

She was born in West Islip, Long Island NY. Kathleen moved to this area in 2009 from Madison, NJ. She was a Project Manager at Vital Network Services. Among her many accomplishments, she attended George Washington University of Business where she received her Project Manager Certification. She also received the prestigious ITIL Intermediate Certification from APMG International. Kathleen was a brilliant woman. In her early career she was historically, the youngest female Vice President at Continental Insurance Company running the Fidelity Underwriting Group. She was a generous mentor and supporter to many of her colleagues, as well as many woman in her social circle. Kathleen used her wisdom and gentle ways to help many women. She was a collector of antiques, an avid reader and a grateful member of the Early Ducks.

In lieu of other remembrances, the family suggests donations be made in Kathleen's memory to American Cancer Society…… Kathleen was pre-deceased by her loving Mother Marie Francis Hamilton and her nephew Frankie Forte. Survivors include: her cherished daughter, Katherine Montgomery Cuva, Florham Park NJ; her beloved companion, Robert Richardson, Ormond Beach; her father Joseph Hamilton, Sr. Ormond Beach; stepmother Ann Janet Hamilton, Ormond Beach; a brother Joseph Hamilton Jr, Madison NJ; 5 sisters Mary Gaunt, Baton Rouge, LA; Debbie Forte Mount Olive, NJ; Annie Hardgrove Madison NJ; Susan Mailer, Flagler Beach; Jeanette Miller, Deland; and 12 nieces and nephews and several great nieces and nephews.

Kathy was a very special person and in spite of all of her achievements she was very gracious and humble. She made such an impact on all who knew her. She will be greatly missed by all who loved her so dearly and she will never been forgotten. (Please add a “Heart” symbol at the end!) J
