Harry Shaffer Jr.
A memorial celebration for Harry Shaffer, Jr., 93, of Port Orange, who passed away peacefully at his home on April 25, 2017, will be held Monday, May 8, 2017, 6:00 pm at the Dale Woodward Funeral Home, 167 Ridgewood Ave. Holly Hill with Wiley Lowe officiating. A visitation time to share will be from 5 pm until the service. After many years of visiting Florida, he moved here permanently with his wife Gwendolyn, which allowed him to pursue his passion for fishing in a more frequent manner. Harry also enjoyed hunting, farming, gardening and was an avid race fan. Survivors include a daughter, Karen Shaffer; a son, Bruce Shaffer; a brother, Dr. Walter Shaffer; 2 grandchildren, Nathaniel and Erin Shaffer.
