Obituary for Helen Gill

Helen Gill
Helen M. Gill (previously Helen Riefler) passed away peacefully on July 16, 2017 in Ormond Beach, Florida on her 96th birthday. She was born in Honesdale, Pennsylvania to Rhienard and Helen Riefler, but she lived and raised her family in Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania for over 50 years. Helen moved to the Daytona Beach area in 1997 where she became an active member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Before she moved to this area, she was a member of the Alter and Rosary Society at St. Johns Parrish in Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania. She enjoyed spending time with her family, shopping, crafting, crocheting, bingo, attending mass regularly, and caring her dogs. She was mostly known for her green thumb and her beautiful garden. Those that met her never forgot her big brown eyes, dimples, warm smile, and her love for God. She was preceded in death by her husband Bernard T. Gill, her son John B. Gill, and two brothers, Lawrence and Robert. Survivors include her daughter, Elizabeth Kane and her husband Donald of Daytona Beach, FL, four grandchildren: Robert Kane of Daytona Beach, FL, Patricia Fisher (Rick) of Alexandria, Virgina, Katrina Caradonna (Carl) of Port St. Lucie, FL, and Sharon Lynch (Brian) of Bethleham, Pennsylvania, six great grandchildren: Logan Caradonna, Marshall Caradonna, Nicholas Fisher, Ronan Lynch, Maggie Lynch, and Bridget Lynch, and many nieces and nephews. A graveside service will take place at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Hanover Township, Pennsylvania on Monday, July 24, 2017 at 2:00pm.
