Jamie's legacy

Jamie was born on January 26th 1976. She was a beautiful baby and I remember going into labor with her by the frozen food section in Lincoln Illinois. She was an easy birth & labor pains were literally a few hours. She was a Sweet Child That Grew into a sweet adult. She was always caring & sharing and just a lovely person. At Christmas time she always made sure that somebody who was less fortunate than us came over to share the holidays. I called her my little tree hugger. She was big into Recycling and caring for the environment. She loved Marilyn Monroe and Madonna. She loved to dance, went to school for and loved fashion and cosmetology. She was always into trying new things, she got me to try different foods and different music genres. She was a wonderful big sister to Rachael. Oh they they fought sometimes like cats and dogs but they were fiercely loyal to each other. Jamie loves her son Steven, Esteban, with all her heart and he loved her so very much. Times weren't easy but the love was always there. Steven gave Jamie a grandson, little Steven arrived in December 2015,what a beautiful little baby boy and he looked just like his daddy. She just had a wonderful caring & giving heart. Everybody that knew her was her friend for life and she was easy to make friends with. She was loyal to a fault. She was trusting to a fault. She forgave without question. Jamie fought stage 4 cancer for two years and had a brief period of remission... Until two months ago she was diagnosed with cancer in the same area again. My daughter was sad, in pain more than anybody can imagine all the time 24/7. She was lonely. She had few Friends down here, really there was only me. Most of her friends and most of our family are in Michigan. I was what she had as a constant, she was a young woman that just wanted love and somebody to talk to, a good caring friend here and that never really happened. There are people that loved her here, but mostly it was just me. I wasn't enough to take away her pain, her loneliness, her heartache and her sorrow, although I would have easily lifted all that from her and took it as my own if I could have. I will miss my daughter, Rachael will miss her sister, Steven will miss his mother and I pray that someone keeps her alive in little Steven's memory... So he doesn't forget her & he remembers that his grandmother, Jamie, was here and loved him very much. Be at peace my baby girl. Rest with God and we will see you on the other side. Love you Mommy..
