Obituary for Dorothy Ellen Harp Weber

Dorothy Ellen Harp Weber, age 101, was called home by her Lord and Savior on December 13, 2017. She was born on December 4, 1916 in Cleveland, Ohio. Daughter of Wilbert E. and Dora E. Harp. Dorothy was married to Donald E. Weber for 69 years, who predeceased her in 2004.
Before moving to Daytona Beach in 1976, Donald and Dorothy served as missionaries and Donald as pastor for the Church of the Nazarene in Ohio and Wisconsin for over 50 years.
Through the years she has written poetry, observations about life and memorial poetry. In her own words, “I have told the Lord, I hold the pen you give me what to write.”
She is survived by many nieces, nephews and friends. Her family and friends want to thank Sandalwood Nursing Center for the compassionate care given and to Halifax Health Hospice for the excellent care during her final weeks.
A funeral service for Dorothy will be held Tuesday at 10:00 am at the Dale Woodward Funeral Home, 167 Ridgewood Ave. Holly Hill with Chaplain Tim Hildreth officiating.
